Rice cooker soft and moist cheese cake..

When I open my curtain this morning, I could not see the bright sun shine like I used to see several days before. It is somehow made my spirit down. The cloud seems hypnotize me to go back on my bed. But, well, the life must go on.
I need warming up to start my day. Just guess what supposed to be my warming up today? Yup, you a right. Of course my kitchen, my stove, my oven, my mixer.. But, today I wanna something simple. I want to make a cake with only available ingredients on my refrigerator. I do not want to buy something else. And what I have is third quarter pack of cream cheese about 200 gram. Okay, then I will make a cheese cake, in a simple way. 
Usually, I bake a cheese cake using bain marie or water bath method. That need two brass, the bigger one for water and the smaller one for the dough. It is quite complicated for sleepy eyes like what I have this morning.
So, I will try to use my rice cooker. I think, it does not matter if it will be a messy cheese cake since the only my customer today is me. :D

Ingredients:
2 eggs, separate the yolk and white.
100 gram sugar
100 gram all purpose flour
150 ml milk
50 ml shimmer butter
2 teaspoon lemon
200 gram cheesecake

Direction:
1. Mixing sugar and white eggs using slow speed, then add the lemon water, increase the speed. Mixing until fluffy and stuffy.
2. In other bowl, mixing well the yolk with milk and butter. Add cheese cake and mix well. Add the flour, mix.
3. Add the dough of cheese cream into white egg use reverse and stir method until well combined. 
4. Put in on rice cooker. Cook.
5. It is done for about 20 minutes. 
6. Put the cake on a plate or bowl, wrapped it using plastic wrapped and put in on refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
7. Your delicious and moist cheese cake ready to serve.

colorful cake

For almost all student, the last semester will be the most hectic time all of their study time. I do. My thesis trap me from any outside interest. I should sacrifice my sleeping time, my shopping time, my lazy time, my work time, but not my cooking and baking time.

Why not? sure, because when I get bored by staring my project on the notebook, I need some refreshing that allow me to be creative. By doing so, I draw an imagination, combine with the available ingredients on my kitchen, and also the equipment I have.

To be honest, I was imagine a beautiful rainbow cake. Layer by layer on different color seems so gorgeous. But, I did a mistake in the procedures. Thus this quite messy colorful cake has produced.

Here my recipe.
Ingredients:
2 eggs, room temperate
145 gram all purpose flour
140 gram sugar
100 ml canola oil
150 ml milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp lemon
a pinch of salt
green and red food color.

Direction:
1. Prepare the oven, warming it 100 degree Celsius.
2.Mix eggs, sugar and lemon water in a bowl with high speed until ribbon stage. To make it quicker, usually I put my mixing bowl on the large pan that content of warm water. The warm temperature will help the eggs to well develop.
3.  Add the oil on the dough, and mix well using a spatula.
4. Sifter the flour, baking powder and salt directly on the dough, thus mix well.
5. Add the milk on the dough, mix well.
6. Take third of the dough, put it on the separate bowl, add green color.  mix well, thus put on the prepared brass. Oven in for 10 minutes.
7. Take another third of dough, combine red and green color on this part. After 10 minutes the first bake, pour the second third on the dough and oven again for 10 minutes. When take the brass from the oven, we should make it quickly. Otherwise, the cake will not well developed.
8. Add the red color on the last third of dough, and pour it on top of the cake. Bake again for 30 minutes.
9. Test the ripe of the cake using a toothpick. When it well cooked, turn of the oven. Let it the cake for 10 minutes on the brass to be loose.
10. Wrapped the cake using a plastic, and put it on freezer for 20 minutes. This is for produce a moist cake. And let's enjoy the cake.

Simple banana cake..

Actually, I have planned for today to visiting aoi matsuri, one of greatest matsuri in Japan. However, when I woke up this morning, I couldn't feel any sunrise on my bed. I know, maybe you will have question, how come the sunshine on my bed? Of course usually I have it every morning since I arrange my bed positions nearby the window to my balcony. And like Japanese balcony windows, it is very big, like a door actually and made from glass. Fortunately, my windows head to east, directly to the place where the sun rising every morning, but in cloudy morning like today.
The sunrise was gone as well as my spirit to jogging and to cycling to the matsuri. Instead of do sport and some outdoors activity, I was starring on my kitchen while somehow feel very hungry. I want to eat something sweet, like red velvet cake, but I don't have much ingredients. Even my last butter only remain about 20gram. What can cake could I make if I only have these one?
Like usually what I did, I do blog walking to some blogs, and finally stop by on Mbak Endang's blog. Thank you so much mbak for your inspirations to gain my weight in very simple way. :D I was thinking to make like banana steam chocolate, but I don't have any dark chocolate, I want to make sponge cake cheese, I don't have any lemon and cheese. So, here it is. Simple banana cake. Can you believe, I only need five, yup f-i-ve ingredients to make this delicious softly cake.

Simple banana cake.
Ingredients:
1. 120gram of rape banana (I use 2 cavendish banana) refined it.
2. 60 gram butter (I use 20 gram butter and 60 gram olive oil), melted.
3. 2 eggs
4. 50 gram sugar
5. 100 gram all purpose flour.

Directions:
1. Prepare spatula, mixer, a bowl for mixing, about 200ml warm water in a pan, and preheat oven for 175 degree celsius.
2. Place your mixing bowl into warm water. Put 2 eggs and sugar into mixing bowl and mix in slow speed, after well mixing, increase the speed until ribbon stage, that is when the dough become so thick and leave a track for second when you lift your mixer. The purpose of using warm water to make the dough well develop and ribbon stage make in soon. Trust me, this simple method helps you in mixing.
3. Add the refined banana into the mix, mixing well by stir-reverse method. How to do this method is quite simple, that is use your spatula, and stir around the bowl edge, and reverse it. Do this stir-reverse until mingled. The purpose of stir-reverse method to minimize rupture of foam.
4. Add the a quarter of melted butter. Stir-reverse slowly until reach the bottom of the bowl. Add part by part the rest of melted butter, and stir-reverse until well done.
5. Add the flour gradually and stir-reverse again until all the ingredients well mix.
6. Bake for 20 minutes, slice lengthwise in the middle of the cake to give banana's cake thew, then bake again for another 20 minutes. Should be notice here if we should make the slice in no time, other wise the cake will not well developed.
7. After 20 minutes, remove the cake from its pan, let it cool, and ready to serving.

Churros aka fried pastry, a delicious simple snack..

Since few weeks ago, I was attempting by Mbak Ricke's, that is this. Due to weight has gained reason, I try to ignore it. But, lately, I couldn't endure to try to make the choux pastry. I do agree with mbak Ricke statement that this fried choux pastry making process is quite simple and easy. Even I do not need mixer, oven and others baking equipment. 
Besides that, this crunchy snack also suitable for people who avoid emulsifier. Want to know how to make it?


Ingredients:
1. Water 250ml
2. Butter 50gr
3. Sifter of all purpose flour 150 gr
4. Sugar 1 tbs
5. Salt 1/4 teaspoon (I used 1/2 teaspoon)
6. 2 Eggs, whisk off.
7. Vanilla 1/4 teaspoon ( I used +/- 10 drop of liquid vanilla)
8. Canola oil for deep frying.

For topping:
1. Sugar 4 tbs
2. Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
(I didn't use topping, but it still tasteful.)

Directions:
1. Boil water, butter, sugar and salt until the butter melting.  Turn off the fire. Add the flour and stir quickly. After that, turn on the small fire, thus stir again until the dough disconnected with the pan or immune. Turn off the fire. Let it warm.
2. When the dough already warm, put the mixing of one egg. Stir well. If the dough is to thick, put another egg and mix well. 
3. Put all the dough into pipping bag. Set a syringe into one empty pipping bag, prepare a brass and sprinkle with flour.
4. Put a plastic of dough into set of syringe, and squirt in a brass. Form anything that you want. In that occasion, I made a stick and love.
5. After finished, put all the mold into freezer about 20 minutes to let them freeze therefore easy to fry.
6. After the choux freezing, take them from freezer, and deep frying until browned. When frying the churros, use a lot of oil.
7. Lift and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Spring is flowering time.

This is my first spring. In my tropical country, I only know summer and rainy season. For a flowery season like now, of course I am so interested. I couldn't tell much more about how so greaaatttt it is.

Spring in Japan without sakura will be not completed. I love how their bunch gathered.

So, what do you think? Like I do, I am become a new loyal fans of spring. The nature fragrance from the flowers are in everywhere. So sweet. They can teach me, as a woman, to be silently beautiful. It is so difficult to do. From seeing how they was struggled during winter, and when the sun arrive, they blossom welcoming for the center of universe. Without complaint, their enthusiasm for cheers and colorful was enviable. So lovely.

Skin regime

As the time flies, the skin care regime also need to change. Especially for people who live in for season like in Japan *saying to mirror. Last season, when the winter came, I was so busy to find which the skincare has a huge moisturizing effect for my skin. The dryness for my skin was horrible.
In the last autumn, when I arrived at Japan, I run out my skincare from my doctor in Indonesia. Since that time, struggling for skin care regime was started. This review based on my own experience, I am not saying that other people will have similar result. Here it is.
1. Shiseido.
 My senpai told me that most of her asian friends, and also Indonesian girls who stay in Japan use shiseido, and she does. I saw she doesn't have any problem so far. Therefore, I try the trial package of shiseido for oily-acne prone series. The package of this series has yellow-orange color. I love it smells. Quite relaxing.
After a week I used this skincare, my face started to detox to dispose anything bad inside my skin. The breakout was so aggressive and more purging only in second weeks. My friend even told me, do I have a measles? I said it is a detox. I read in any reviews, many peoples also do the same. So, I decided to buy the full size of essence, lotion, gel cleaning, moisturizing. I try to keep calm and consisted to used it. But, hey after one and a half month, why I couldn't any confidence more to look at mirror? I can endure for any longer time. It quite miserable. With sorry for the rest more than a half volume of its packaging the skincare, I started to browsing and asking some people about their regime. For me, purging is okay, but measles??Oh no thanks.
2. SK II
This is not an easy decision. Try a luxury brand that famous with its high price become my second decision. I started to buy the very cute package on yahoo auction. I do remember, at that time, I don't have so much money to buy the big one, since I already spent a lot my income on shiseido in the previous month which I tough I could use it at least for three or for months.
In a week very trial using this SK II, I got a little, no, I very very tiny improvement. In that time, my skin was not better, but also it was not worse. It stay on it level before I use it. The only little improvement was my skin was a little more chewy than before. How about acne? Do not ask me. It still there. At least, it not getting worse like when I used shiseido which is getting worse every time.
I ever read in the female daily, if you got an improvement after using sk ii, even tough a very little thing, please stick on it.  It means that SK II is suitable with your skin. Okay, I try to stick on it. Thus I buy a little larger jar after my first FTE and lotion and stempower have finished.
After use it for a month, I started to buy the big bottle of fte and clear lotion. Actually, in that time, I was wonder why my acnes has calm down but my face getting dullness. Thus I buy the whitening spot specialist (wss) to rehearsal my faint. After using this wss for two months, the faint still there.
I do a little research on this regime, thus I figure out that it might be caused by the clear lotion. So, I stopped it. my lotion bottle has content more than 100 ml, and I start to ignore it. The feel just like...oh dear, this is expensive, but I couldn't use it. I was thinking, let's try to leave it anyway for 1 or two months, if my skin getting better, so I should leave it forever, and otherwise if my face stay dullness, I should check another product of SK II.
Fortunately (or unfortunately??)  after use the SK II in 5 and a half months in total, and without using the clear lotion for more than 1 month, my face skin getting brighten and better texture. The severe acne also calm down. It leaves some black spot on my face that could be reduced a small level by my wss.  I love this improvement. But, however, my wallet doesn't has the same idea with my face. I should take my wallet consideration into rational thinking.

3. Dr Ci Labo
Anyway, I also do another research through the SK II progress. I am not saying I am disappointed with it, but I little curious how actually it works? Since, my first SK II product which run out is cleaning foam and gel, I read anything about the cleansing for sensitive skin. Finally, I asked for sample of Ci Labo set on their website. Do not mention how I was struggle to fill out the Japanese character form. It was not that easy!! After couple days, I got their sample. I was so amazed with their cleansing product. I clean away all dust, oil and my minimize make up without let desert on my face. In short, I am fall in love with it. So, I repurchase the cleansing gel and foam of Dr Ci Labo.

This is my regime today:
Cleansing foam and gel (Dr. Ci Labo) --> FTE SK II --> BB Cream for day, or --> Stempower --> Wss for night.
I use stempower and wss only for night because it makes my face like oil producer company if I force to use it in a day.

However, my questions about how the great is SK II has not stopped yet. A forum on Female daily give other insight. They are discussing a lot about the duplicate of SK II, or so called Secret key. Wanna try?? Of course YES!! ^^
I found a cheap price of copycat SK II in qoo10. They frequently provide discount or deals for many purposes. Last week I purchased their FTE and snails+ EGF repairing gel cream. Have try to use it? Not yet. I will continue to spend it before I go to their duplicate. SK II, am really sorry. You are so great, but you take a loooooooong times for the satisfied result and the pricey... Ahh,  :((


Next time, after couple week I used the secret key product, I will give another review.^^

A moment to take a back

Almost one semester I have been living in Kyoto, a half of my study time in Japan. Actually I was thinking to write my new journey here, step by step becomes a chain story of my life in my previous blog. But, I have no spirit even a small pinch to write it there. Don't ask me why because I have no idea about that. That's why I decide to create a new one. A place to share my happiness, my thought, my step note, my laugh, and my love as well. 

I do remember how the first time I arrived here. I were so confuse and unsure about almost everything. No a very single thing went in a "right" way. Everything was wrong in the beginning. Unless, the country who tries a great effort to support their citizen. So, what's was wrong? 

The world seems wrong. I was here in moment before autumn. I felt the wind too cold. Since it was so cold, I consider to put away my moisturizer. The decision that regretfully later on. I never thought that cold could come together with dryness. Somehow I was thinking that if the weather is cold, it means it also moist, such a rainy season in my tropical country, Indonesia. Yup. I was really have no idea about that. And the result, like what you thinking, my skin getting dryness, dull, clumsy, and also darkness due to have no protector layer to facing the bright of sun and heavy of cold wind. It was only the dry skin? Oh no dear. 

More than that. Another mistake I did is lazy to drink. In 20th degree celsius, the thirsty feel seems far away from my mouth. The glass of water gradually decrease in amount every single day. Digestion problem came to me. Constipation make my day worse. Ok, after a week a realize that water is an important thing, no matter how degree temperature you feel it. I tempted myself to drink more, eat more fruit and also vegetables. It helped me a lot.

Another problem on my skin was they are break out a lot. One by one an acne appears. One dry, another one start to starring my face. Oh No. I really miss my aesthetic doctor. I do remember they always give me their magic cream and pleasure treatment to release stress on my skin. But now??

I have no idea unless follow my senpai did. Most of them choose Shiseido. It works well on their face, hopefully also on my face.
